WAGS enjoy themselves as their men battle it out on the field
March 15th, 2011 - 9:55 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, March 15 (IANS) It is party time for the wives and girl friends of the Irish and South African cricketers, as their men fight it out in a World Cup match here at the Eden Gardens.
The WAGS of the South African cricketers were Monday spotted in Kolkata’s landmark New Market, a British era shopping paradise that was opened in 1874. They lazed around the architecturally Gothic market-complex for hours and bought handicraft items, besides rings, bracelets and jackets.
Tuesday, some of them came to the Eden and watch their beaux in action.
“Six WAGs of the Irish cricketers have also come to watch the game, and are enjoying themselves at the hospitality box of the club house,” said Ireland media manager Bary Chambers.
“There were more of them when the team played the Bangalore game against England. But some of them have already gone back,” said Chambers.
