Vovinam team to participate in Asian championship
July 16th, 2010 - 11:15 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 16 (IANS) A 10-member Indian team will participate in the Asian Vovinam Championship at Kish Island, Iran, from Saturday.
“Santosh Kumar is the coach of the team for the six-day event,” Praveen Garg, general secretary, Vovinam Association of India said in a statement.
Vovinam is a martial art sport that originated in Vietnam.
Team: Sarendra Singh Soibam, Kanta Singh Haobijam, Binoy Singh, Santosh Kumar, Alex Laithangbam, Mahadeva Chongtham, Deepak Patel, Ajaz Rasool Mir, Rahul Kumar, Madhu.
