jackson1Nov. 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Vincent Jackson delivered a spectacular performance against in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night. He made a touchdown of ten yards and one reception. This takes up the total yards made by him in this season to 722, 17.2 yards on an average. His records definitely make him one of the most sought after and reliable receivers in the league, considering that he made five touchdowns in the previous four games in addition to his receptions. Vincent Jackson has had 23 touchdowns in his career. This is his fifth year with the San Diego Chargers.

On Sunday’s game, Vincent Jackson was electric. The Eagles had piled on him several players to stop him from making the touchdown, yet they could not stop him from making the 10 yards. The tight end for the Chargers, Antonio Gate said that the idea was to turn Jackson into a decoy so that the Eagles would concentrate on him, a plan which no doubt succeeded. The coach for the Chargers, Norv Turner said that they intended to get the ball away from the Eagles as soon as possible in the game.

The plan succeeded as Vincent Jackson was able to divert the attention of the Philadelphia Eagles strictly to the middle of the field. The Eagles did not give him any space and marked him almost up to the end of the game, allowing the Chargers to make some quick passes. The San Diego Chargers intended to take advantage of the aggressiveness and speed of the Eagles and find a way around their defensive skills.
