Aug 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) All the fans of the team Los Angeles Dodgers would be able to hear the voice of sportcaster Vin Scully once again as it has been reported that the veteran broadcaster is all set to make a comeback at the broadcast booth of the team next year. The return of the noted sportcaster to the broadcast booth in 2011 is without doubt going to be immensely significant as it would be his 62nd season with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The news that Vin Scully would be seen in the broadcast booth lending his voice for the games of the Los Angeles Dodgers has been confirmed by the Hall of Fame broadcaster himself in an announcement that he made on Sunday. While revealing his decision to return to the job that he has held since the year 1950, the 82-year-old renowned sportcaster stated that he made the decision with the blessings of his wife, Sandy as well as his five children. Vin Scully further went on to say that he would be giving his best shot next year but refused to talk about what plans he had lined up for himself after the upcoming season.
Despite the fact that the famed broadcaster had to be admitted to a medical facility after he fell at his home in March this year, he emphasized that he has been doing quite well lately and is really looking forward to describing the action on the field for one more season. In his illustrious career, Vin Scully has called three perfect games, 25 World Series, 19 no-hitters as well as 12 All-Star games.
