Glendale, Ariz., Dec.07, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Minnesota Vikings player E.J. Henderson suffered severe injuries when his team clashed with the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday night at the University of Phoenix Stadium. The Vikings’ linebacker hurt his leg in a severe manner around the fourth quarter of the match which makes it unlikely that the linebacker would be able to play in any of the next matches remaining in the season. However, the bad news for the Vikings did not just end here as they suffered a humiliating defeat against the Cardinals by a score of 30-17.

The player received the injuries when he clashed with his teammate Jamarca Sanford as he was attempting to deal with Cardinals player Tim Hightower, which resulted in his leg getting twisted awkwardly. It was later revealed that the much acclaimed linebacker had fractured his femur due to which he fell in the ground visibly in pain. Although, the player has received preliminary treatment from the paramedics present, he was soon taken off the field, as it was realized that the injury was quite serious. E.J. Henderson’s brother and teammate Erin, who was not playing in the match, held his brother’s hand as he was being taken off the field.

Although, any official information regarding the player’s condition is not available, Brad Childress, coach of the Minnesota Vikings later revealed that the linebacker’s knee injury was something to worry about. It has been expressed that the player is expected to undergo surgery to recover from the injury. E.J. Henderson, is among the most competent player’s of the Vikings and his injury comes as a major blow to his team.
