Vijay and Harmeet to take part in Masters Golf in Digboi
November 1st, 2010 - 6:38 pm ICT by IANSKolkata,Nov 1 (IANS) Leading golfers Vijay Kumar and Harmeet Kahlon will be among those vying for honours at the Rs.25 lakh prize money 11th Indian Oil Xtra Premium Masters Golf tournament to be held in Assam’s Digboi Nov 10-13.
Defending champion Mukesh Kumar, Feroz Ali Mollah, and Ali Sher, besides promising youngsters like Raju Ali Mollah, Chiragh Kumar and Harendra Gupta are the other notables who would be among the 50 golfers scheduled to tee off in the event at the picturesque Digboi Golf Links.
The winner would get Rs.4,04,125, with the runner up bagging Rs.2,79,125. The competitors finishing third and fourth would be richer by Rs.1,56,625 and Rs.1,26,625, respectively. All the participating golfers would get monetary awards.
Bordered by Dehing forest, Digboi Golf Links is a 72-par course with a yardage of 6329, the organisers said at a media meet here.
