Vettori, who held the top spot last March, replaced teammate Kyle Mills as the world’s leading ODI bowler, after taking five wickets for 113 runs off 30 overs, The New Zealand Herald reports.
Mills has dropped to No 5 after rising to the top following his performances in October’s Champions Trophy in South Africa. Others in the top five includes Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan, Zimbabwe spinner Ray Price. Both have enjoyed recent success with Price taking six wickets in the recently concluded 2-0 defeat in South Africa.
Among all rounders, Vettori is at No 2 for Tests and No 9 for ODIs, where Jacob Oram is the other New Zealander in the list at No 5.Indian captain MS Dhoni continues to lead the ODI batting list, ahead of Australian Mike Hussey and South African skipper Graeme Smith. The only New Zealander in the top 20 is wicketkeeper Brendon McCullum, who sits at No14. (ANI)
