Venkatesh Prasad, Robin Singh to continue as team support staffJune 4th, 2008 - 10:23 pm ICT by IANS
Mumbai, June 4 (IANS) Venkatesh Prasad and Robin Singh will continue as the bowling and fielding coach, respectively, of the Indian cricket team for the tri-series in Bangladesh and the Asia Cup in Pakistan. A decision on awarding long-term contracts to the duo will be taken after the Asia Cup, BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said.
Prasad, who was the chief coach of Bangalore Royal Challengers, was in the eye of storm after the dismal performance of the Vijay Mallya-owned franchise in the Indian Premier League.
Nitin Patel has been appointed physiotherapist of the Indian squad for the tri-series (June 8-14) and Asia Cup (June 24-July 6).
