Van Persie named Man of the Match

Cape Town, June 25 (DPA) The Netherlands striker Robie van Persie won FIFA Man of the Match for his goalscoring performance in a 2-1 win over Cameroon in Cape Town.
The Arsenal striker became only the fourth Dutchman to score in more than one World Cup. He joined the illustrious company of Johnny Rep, Robbie Rensenbrink and Dennis Bergkamp with his first half goal.
Van Persie made way for AC Milan forward Klaas Jan Huntelaar on 59 minutes and he added a second as the Dutch became the only European team in this World Cup to win all their group matches.
