The Hague, May 15 (IANS) Mark van Bommel signed a contract for one year at his former club PSV Eindhoven Monday a day after he announced his departure from AC Milan.
The 35-year-old captain of the Dutch national team expects PSV to win titles next season, with new coach Dick Advocaat.
“I did not come back to take it easy,” Van Bommel was quoted as saying by Xinhua. “I am here to win prizes. I feel that I can help PSV to capture the title.”
Van Bommel started his career at Fortuna Sittard and played for PSV between 1999 and 2005. In this period he won four leagues titles, one Dutch Cup and three Super Cups.
After his departure from PSV he played for FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and AC Milan, with whom he won the Italian title in 2011.
