January 17th, 2012 - 12:09 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Lucknow, Jan 16 (IANS) Sportspersons of Uttar Pradesh Monday appealed to all political parties to consider a two percent quota fotr them in all government jobs.
“While parties are talking about reservation on the basis of caste and creed, it was unfortunate that nobody has given a thought to the need for providing quota to those who have excelled in sports and done the state proud,” said Uttar Pradesh Sports Welfare Association president Mohsin Raza in a press statement here.
“It is high time politicians realised the plight of sportspersons who have to run from pillar to post to make a livelihood for themselves,” he added.
