London, Aug 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) BMX cycling kicked off yesterday at the Olympics. It is a game that interests a lot of people and thousands turned up to watch the kick off.

Brooke Crain of the US team suffered a nasty blow as she was starting her race in the seeding round. Broke, who is 19 years old was not supposed to be in the Olympics this year. She only found out that she is going to be part of the team on Monday as she was called up on to replace Arielle Martin who had got injured during practice.

Brooke was sent flying in the air when she hit one of the gravel hills. She landed on the ground chest first and she scared onlookers as she stayed still on the ground for about a minute. Volunteers came to help her up and then she got up. She then got on her bike and rode to the finish.

When asked, Brooke insisted that she was fine. She says she has competed before and she expects to get a medal. The runner of the BMX program for the US, Mike King said that Brooke is okay and that she will be competing in the competition. She was offered the last seed slot.
