Dec. 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The reports that Florida Gators coach, Urban Meyer will announce retirement for health reasons has disappointed fans and many people have already started to speculate who would become the next coach of the team. However, the recent reports related to the retirement of Urban Meyer indicated that he has changed his mind and will not announce his retirement after the Sugar Bowl game against Cincinnati. According to the reports, the coach has decided to take a ‘leave of absence’ for an indefinite period of time.
It has been reported that the coach has changed his decision and said that he would remain present on the sideline of the field when the Florida Gators would start their 2010 season. Therefore, it is expected that the team would not have to search for a permanent replacement of Urban Meyer. Reports stated that Steve Addazio, the offensive coordinator of the team would take over the responsibilities of Urban Meyer till he decides to comeback.
Though Urban Meyer has altered his decision and would not retire immediately, he has not stated when he would resume his job of head coach. The coach was also unwilling to discuss his health issues that forced him to take such a decision. He only said that he was confident to make a comeback in the team. The coach considered the staffs and players of Florida Gators as his second family and it is expected that his decision would benefit the team. Coach Urban Meyer has improved the performance of Florida Gators in his tenure and it is expected that his association with the team would be beneficial for them.
