Dec. 05, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It came as a rude shock to the world of wrestlers, when the news of Samoan-American wrestler Umaga’s death surfaced. It has been stated that the wrestler had died after a heart attack. The reports of Umaga’s death has been confirmed by the family members of the wrestler. It has been reported that the former intercontinental WWE champion was at his home in Houston when he died. No one in his house noticed that he had fallen asleep as he was watching television. Few hours later his wife discovered that blood was flowing out of his nose and he was not breathing. Though he was taken to the hospital immediately and was put on life support, he could not be revived.
Edward Fatu, who was nicknamed as Umaga, played his last match in Australia- where he was a part of the Hulkamania tour. He did not report any health problem at that time and rumors circulated that he would make a comeback to WWE. However, the much touted comeback never happened and he bid his final adieu to the wrestling arena this Thursday.
WWE has expressed their heart felt sorrow at the unexpected death of the wrestler. Paul Heyman, a columnist at SunSport and former owner of ECW, also offered his condolences to the family of the wrestler. Everyone has been quite saddened by the death of the wrestler at such a young age of thirty six. Umaga had fought several matches in his wrestling career and his match against Bob Lashley was the most memorable match of his career.
