The American Top Team Heavyweight, Todd Duffee who made his UFC debut, lived up to the hype as the fighter just took 7 seconds to successfully knock out his opponent Tim Hague in his UFC debut challenge on Saturday night.
Duffee, the debutant shook Hague with a short, sharp but powerful jab and then followed him down to finish with some serious bout of punches. According to the sources, Duffee’s fight surpassed UFC’s previous record of “eight second KO” that was set twice before, thus putting Duffee’s name right on top of the record breaking list. The heavyweight match was one of the preliminary fights at the UFC 102.
According to the sources, Duffee trains out one of the best camps in the country in American Top Team down in Coconut Creek, Florida as well as as in HardcoreGym in Athens, Georgia. Duffee’s record seems to be an impressive one and came into the limelight when he “finished” former UFC fighter Assuerio Silva at Jungle-fight 11 in September 2008. Silva, is not that type of a fighter who can be taken down easily, but Duffee, beating all the odds finished Silva within a bout of two rounds.
Duffee is quite often has been described by his fans of being a “relentless” one. Although the fighter possesses immense strength and power, still his most significant quality or attribute is probably his work ethic in the cage. While Duffee never had any sorts of formal training in karate, wrestling etc, still he possesses the knowledge of knocking out those who are formally trained in the aforementioned departments.
No wonder that Duffee has arrived to prove a point as the fans wait to catch the more of him.
