Las Vegas, Feb 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It was an event worth watching in Las Vegas where the Ultimate Fighting Championship 126 giants fought against each other to win their respective titles. There were welterweight fights, heavyweight fights, lightweight and middleweight fights and all these nerve-wrecking fights kept the Spike TV audience riveted to their seats and the audience, who were present at Mandalay Bay Events Center, cheered and applauded for their favorites. However, the hot cake of the night was the Middleweight Championship bout of the Main Card, where Anderson Silva crumpled Vitor Belfort to retain the title of UFC Middleweight Championship.

Mike Pierce of United States defeated Kenny Robertson in the Welterweight bout via TKO. Kyle Kingsbury thrashed Ricardo Romero in the first round itself. After the match, the winner seemed happy and proud when he said that he endured everything and in the end, he came out with excellence. Kyle Kingsbury also added that he is happy because his persistence paid off. On the other hand, Paul Taylor thrashed Gabe Ruediger via KO in round 2. Michihiro Omigawa of Japan was defeated by Chad Mendes of U. S. via unanimous decision. The eyewitnesses say that the winner dominated the bout from the beginning.

The Main Card fights gained the maximum attention and Miguel Torres defeated Antonio Banuelos via unanimous decision. In the post match interview, Miguel Torres said that he could feel that he broke his opponent’s nose while fighting as he could hear the crunches several times. Jake Ellenberger, on the other hand, thrashed Carlos Eduardo Rocha of Brazil via split decision. In Light Heavyweight bout, Jon Jones became the winner after defeating Ryan Bader via submission. In the other Light Heavyweight bout, Forrest Griffin outworked Rich Franklin via unanimous decision.
