Las Vegas, July 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last night was an event worth watch in Las Vegas, Nevada where the giants of Ultimate Fighting Championship fought to win their respective titles and championships. There were heavy weight fights, there were light weight fights, welterweight fights and middle weight fights, these anticipated and nerve wrecking fights ended with the announcement of the winner. The hot cake of the night was the Heavyweight championship fight between Brock Lenser and Shane Carwin where the former defeated the latter via submission in an arm triangle choke.

The fight between George Sotiropoulos and Kurt Pellegrino saw the former winning the fight in an unanimous decision. The fight was among the equals where both the fighters did their best to survive but in the end but George Sotiropoulos outworked Kurt Pellegrino over three rounds. In another match between Stephen Bonnar and Krzysztof Soszynski, the later even though landed in more effective shots could not turn the ball in his court as he had to submit himself to the former. In The second round Stephen Bonnar crumpled Krzysztof Soszynski with a knee to the face and thrashed him with blows to the ground and won the fight. Chris Leben and Yoshihiro Akiyama’s fight was not that impressive though the former managed to get the title for himself.

The two most anticipated fights that kept up to the audience expectations are The Heavyweight Championship fight between Broke lenser and Shane Carwin and the other was Chris Lytle and Matt Brown of the Welterweight Championship. The champion Brock Lenser defended his title after his comeback of almost a year’s hiatus. Even he was attacked repeatedly by Shane Carwin. Like the previous match, Chris Lytle defeated Matt Brown by an armlock at the surprising time of 2:02.
