forrest_griffin2To every ones surprise it was witnessed that all the twenty two fighters of the UFC 101 made weight. Given the magnitude of UFC, it did surprise many as all of the twenty two fighters reportedly didn’t have any sort of problem during the scaling sessions..

According to the sources, fan favorite Tamdan McRory was the only fighter who seemed to have any issue, sweating it out until stepping up to the stage. The Bam Cat reportedly said that he might not fulfill the criteria, but he gradually ended up making 170, without even pushing for the one pound allowance. Former Ultimate Fighter Champion, Amir Sadollah actually had a considerably easy time while making weight, as the fighter who advanced to his welterweight bout was three and a half pound under the desired limit, unlike his opponent Johny Hendricks. Hendricks was seen pushing for the one pound allowance. Although Hendricks was above the scale limit, still it is quite obvious that he is a much “bigger” fighter than his opponent, the former Ultimate Fighter champion, Amir Sadollah.

According to the sources, UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva once again transitioned well into the light heavy weight division. Although Silva appeared to be in good shape, but he seemed to be less aggressive than his opponent, former light heavy weight champion Forrest Griffin. Griffin defintely has an advantage over his opponent due to his “huge size”.

In spite of UFC president, Dana White’s accusations regarding the pre-fight press conference, still both the fighters looked comfortable on the scale.

The UFC light weight champion B.J.Penn said that he has been in great shape and would try his best against the challenger, Kenny Florian.
