UConn Fans To Greet The Winning Team In Rallies

San Antonio, Apr 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) UConn is reeling on their victory over Stanford as Connecticut is all set to greet the girls as they land on Bradley International Airport at 3.30 p.m. where huge rallies will await their arrival today. Following that a gala celebration has been planned at the Storrs campus which shall have its doors all open for visitors at 5 p.m. to witness the winning rally. The Uconn team shall make its entry at round 6 p.m. All eyes are on the star of the day the golden girl of Uconn, Maya Moore.
The game had been the best of title games at NCAA where two teams battled out against each other with never ending spirits and determination. Obviously as all witnessed, things weren’t much easy for Connecticut at the very first go as they were trailing behind the Stanford at the end of the first half time a score of 12-20. However, the team made a heavy comeback in the second half with Maya Moore ruling the roost of the game. The second half witnessed the supremacy of UConn all the way never giving the Stanford girls a chance to come back in the game. Maya Moore moved on to score 11 points out of the total 16 points in the second half.
At such crucial juncture of the game Uconn Coach Geno Auriemma was quite sure that his girls won’t be able to make it but May Moore made as she took over the lead in the game. She finished off with a total of 23 game points and 11 rebounds which sealed the fate of Stanford University following which the team had to surrender to the Uconn supremacy.
