Tyrod Taylor Shines Bright Despite Virginia Tech Hokies’ Loss

tyrodSep 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Although the Virginia Tech University once again on Monday night lost its season opening game and this time against Boise State University, there is no doubt about the fact some of its players emerged as winners with great play on display. Virginia Tech University Quarterback Tyrod Taylor came forward with some great and for much of the night gave his opponents fits.

Although in the first quarter of the game, Tyrod Taylor did not perform much, he came forward with some brilliant play later period of the first half. Tyrod Taylor completed all five of his first half passes for 93 yards and also went for a touchdown. At halftime, it was Tyrod Taylor who had led his team by rushing 10 carries for 27 yards. Virginia Tech that was trailing behind by 0-17 of Boise State University team was brought back into the field and competition by Tyrod Taylor’s offense. Since the special team play of Virginia Tech failed miserably on Monday it was Tyrod Taylor who along with Ryan Williams got hold of the game.

The best play from Tyrod Taylor came at around the end of the game. The player went for a brilliant 11-yard scramble and beautifully escaped a tackle in the backfield area by putting both his hands on the ground and avoiding a touch of knees. He rushed to the left to register a first down and the thereby led his team to go ahead of Boise State by four points. Entering the fourth quarter of the game Virginia Tech team was ahead of Boise State University team with scoreboards reading 30-26. Although Virginia Tech could not manage a win, Tyrod Taylor has achieved a personal success.
