Two Madhya Pradesh boxers in team for Azerbaijan Championship
December 6th, 2011 - 12:22 am ICT by IANSBhopal, Dec 5 (IANS) Two boxers from Madhya Pradesh have been selected in the Indian team for the Gulera Youth International Boxing Championship being held at Baku in Azerbaijan from Dec 7 to 12, officials said Monday.
Tarachand and Deepak Tanwar of Madhya Pradesh State Boxing Academy are among the seven players selected in the Indian team for this competition.
The team comprises Tarachand of Madhya Pradesh in 49-kg category, Dheeraj of Army in 52-kg category, Ajay Kumar of Haryana in 56-kg category, Rohit Tokas of Delhi in 60-kg category, Deepak Tanwar of Madhya Pradesh in 64-kg category, Gurlen of Punjab in 69-kg category and Surendra of Haryana in 75-kg category.
