Two F1 world champions can race together if there is equality in team: Hamilton

Kuala Lumpur, Apr 8(ANI): British Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton insists that he would have no qualms about having another world champion as his teammate.

Hamilton’s comment comes after Red Bull team principal Christian Horner claimed that having two young world champions under his roof could prove disastrous.

The 26-year-old claimed that it is the policy of favouring one driver over another which is the real cause of friction within a team, rather than two drivers battling for supremacy in identical cars.

“The only reason I imagine he would suggest that is because certain individuals don’t like being beaten. Some individuals can take it. Some people are better losers or better winners,” the Daily Mail quoted Hamilton, as saying.

“You saw me and Fernando (Alonso), we were very competitive. You see me and Jenson (Button), so world champions can definitely race together as long as there is equality in the team,” he added. (ANI)
