Two Dalit girls gangraped near Delhi
September 29th, 2010 - 11:34 pm ICT by IANSGreater Noida, Sep 29 (IANS) In two separate cases, two Dalit girls were allegedly gangraped in Greater Noida and neighbouring Bulandshahr town, police said Wednesday.
In the first incident, four Muslim men abducted and later gangraped a 20-year-old Dalit girl of Lahugala locality. When the girl threatened to report the case to the police, the accused poured kerosene on her and set her on fire. The accused were identified as Saddam, Bhura, Sazid and Mazid.
She was taken to a local hospital from where she was referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. She is critical with 90 percent burns.
In another incident, Anuj Chaudhary and Lala - two locals of Gopalgarh locality in Greater Noida - gangraped a 15-year-old Dalit girl at gun-point when she went to relieve herself in an agricultural field.
