Tshabalala named first Man of the Match
June 11th, 2010 - 11:34 pm ICT by IANSJohannesburg, June 11 (DPA) Siphiwe Tshabalala of South Africa was named the Man of the Match in Friday’s 1-1 draw between hosts South Africa and Mexico as he scored the first goal of the 2010 World Cup football.
The Kaizer Chiefs midfielder tallied the opening goal of the game in the 55th minute to give South Africa the lead. Afterwards he led a group of team-mates in a dance on the sidelines.
Unfortunately for the hosts and Tshabalala, Mexico came back to equalise in the 79th minute.
