tony_romo_cowboysAccording to the sources, shooing off all the speculations, it has been revealed that Tony Romo will be available during the Cowboys practice session on Wednesday. Romo, the Dallas Cowboys quarter back reportedly sprained an ankle during their match against Tampa Bay which witnessed the former emerging victorious with an overall lead of 34-21.

Sources revealed that Romo reportedly had an MRI test done on Monday that revealed the player had sprained his right ankle, although the injury didn’t seem to be a serious one like other ankle sprains that tends to cramp a little longer. “I don’t know that is anything serious,” coach Wade Phillips said. The injury occurred when Romo tried to avoid a blitz during the match against Tampa Bay. Although he suffered the injury, the quarter back played all through the match without missing a play. After the match, which witnessed Cowboys emerging as the victor, Romo said that he was fine and the injury is not that serious. According to the sources, in between the match Romo had his ankle re-taped and post match Romo’s sprained ankle was wrapped up in ice.

Inside sources reveal that Romo did not take part in Monday’s conditioning camp because of the swelling that he suffered due to his sprained ankle. But the sources say that the player will be available on Wednesday’s practice session. Romo, whose last season was plagued with injuries, went 16-of-27 for a career high 353 yards and as many as three touchdowns in the Cowboys’ win over Tampa Bay on Sunday’s match.
