Tony Jefferson To Join University Of Oklahoma In 2010

tonyDec. 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Tony Jefferson is about to commit to the University of Oklahoma as the wide receiver of the baseball team of the university. He has been selected for the team along with Kenny Stills, also a wide receiver. Tony Jefferson had earlier been the wide receiver for the UCLA, but dropped that team after a visit to the University of Southern California, and it was pretty much decided that he would be joining as the wide receiver of the team, but he did not make a formal commitment. He had been vied for by the University of Oklahoma ever since the November of this year.

Tony Jefferson is a high ranked athlete in the national scale. He had been ranked 49 in the list of the overall national prospects. He is being considered a four star recruit, and ranks sixth in the list of the most talented outside linebackers in the nation. His resume is impressive, with at least one touchdown in almost every game, and in his career, he had failed to reach the 100 yards just once. He has made a total of 5 tackles, with 4 out of those singlehandedly.

Tony Jefferson has had a number of offers from other programs like the Universities of Florida, Michigan, UCLA and Oregon, but made his decision after he had paid a visit to the University of Oklahoma. He announced his formal decision on the night of Friday. However, the decision will really become formal with the team when he signs the dotted line on Feb. 3, 2010. He has been scheduled to enroll with the University of Oklahoma in the spring semester of 2010.
