Todd CollinsDec. 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Washington Redskins quarterback, Jason Campbell, had to leave the field at the end of the first half of the match against the New York Giants that was held on Monday, Dec. 21, due to a shoulder injury. Though he returned at the beginning of the second half of the match, for the time being, he was replaced by the veteran Todd Collins. Unfortunately, he was not of much use, and Jason Campbell took up his position once more when he came back on the field.

Todd Collins came on the field with the Washington Redskins trailing behind at a massive 24-0. It was the final play in the first half of the game, and although there were a lot of expectations from the veteran, he did nothing but disappoint. Right after he came, Todd Collins attempted to make a fake goal in the field by driving the offense down field. Eight of the players stood in the left side of the field, while the holder Hunter Smith made a pass toward the end zone. The whole act was bizarre, and of course did not pay off.

Todd Collins also tried to make a throw, that was left incomplete. His first complete throw was the 46 yard pass to Santana Moss, something that gained the Washington Redskins 47 yards on the sideline. Todd Collins’ lower than average performance in the match makes it even more difficult for the player to remain in the draft of 2010, although he has been signed. The poor game that he had put up in the match against the New York Giants was in keeping with the rest of his performances this year.
