Nashville, Oct 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Chuck Cecil, the defensive coordinator of the Tennessee Titans is making headlines lately not for reasons he can be very proud of. The defensive coordinator of the Titans was caught on camera showing his disdain for the officials when his team clashed with the Denver Broncos during the Sunday night’s showdown. Chuck Cecil was quite vocal about his disagreement and anger with the officials of the game when he made an obscene gesture during the second quarter. The humiliating defeat that the Tennessee Titans had to endure in the hands of their opponents on Sunday explains the frustration showcased by the team’s defensive coordinator on field.
The incident that has attracted huge negative publicity for Chuck Cecil happened during the second quarter of Sunday’s game when the Tennessee Titans were called for a penalty. The defensive coordinator was apparently so irritated with the match officials that he went on to display the rather unflattering middle-finger gesture aimed at them without realizing that his act of anger was caught on television cameras. However, after the game reached its conclusion with the Denver Broncos beating the Tennessee Titans by 26-20, the defensive coordinator refused to divulge details of the incident to the media.
In the meanwhile, after Chuck Cecil’s single-fingered gesture was caught on camera, speculations are running high that the Titans defensive coordinator would be fined by the National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell. While talking about the incident, Greg Aiello, who is the spokesperson of the NFL told the media that the fine “will depend on the full set of circumstances.”
