tim1Denver, Apr 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Denver Broncos created quite a buzz on Thursday night when they decided to pick Florida Gators player Tim Tebow with the 25th overall pick of the NFL draft. The decision of the Denver Broncos team to opt for the two time national champion and the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner indeed managed to sent shock waves across the NFL fraternity. However, the news was greeted with jubilation by the much acclaimed quarterback who celebrated with his family in Jacksonville.

While reacting to his pick by the Denver Broncos, the 22 year old quarterback expressed his gratitude to everyone in the organization and added that the reason which propelled the Denver Broncos to pick him must have been his willingness to do whatever it took and go that extra mile. At the same time, Tim Tebow also emphasized that he was really hoping that he would get the opportunity to play for the Denver Broncos as he had really developed a very good rapport with the team in the last few weeks. He also added that following his pick by the Denver Broncos, Tim Tebow had a conversation with Florida Gators coach Urban Meyer, who is said to be ‘excited’ about the prospect.

However, acquiring the noted quarterback player was not an easy decision to make for the Denver Broncos as the team reportedly had to shell out a whopping amount of money while giving up the second, third and fourth round draft pick in order to move up. In the meanwhile, many analysts have contended that the former Florida quarterback lacked the expertise to be picked in the first round.
