Tiger Woods London, July 7 (ANI): Golfer Ian Poulter believes that Tiger Woods’ year-old son has the potential of becoming a good golfer, if not a greater one than his father.

The English Ryder Cup ace revealed Tiger’s son looked such a natural, that the rest of the golfing world had better watch out when he grows up.

Poulter said: “When we were at the hotel, I did see Tiger’s lad swinging a golf club on his telephone. “It was simply incredible. The grip, the swing, the way the toe of the club was lined up - and at just 15 months old. It’s scary.

“When he’s 15, he’ll probably have won at Augusta. I’ve probably only got 13 years left to win Majors,” The Sun quoted Poulter, as saying.Woods, 34, seemed unusually emotional as he discussed his reasons for dashing back to Florida after the charity fund-raiser, instead of staying on in Ireland to get links practice ahead of next week’s Open.

That strategy proved the springboard for his runaway victories at St Andrews after playing in this event in 2000 and 2005.

But as he raced to catch the helicopter from Adare Manor to his private jet at nearby Shannon Airport, he said: “I need to get home. I need to see my kids.”

There was a distinct tremble in his voice, adding fuel to rumours Elin wants to take their children to live in Sweden once their 75-million-dollar divorce - sparked by Woods’ much-publicised extra-marital flings - is finalised.

Not surprisingly, the world No 1 remained tight-lipped about his private life and ducked questions about the damage to his preparations for St Andrews. (ANI)
