woods2Mar 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a poll that had been commissioned by the show called “60 Minutes,” that is held in CBS, and also by a reputed magazine, it was found that Tiger Woods is at the top. Not at the top of the greatest golf players of all time, but among the worst playboys the world has seen in recent times. Ironically enough, the magazine that commissioned the poll was the same one that had featured the golfer a few days back, at a time when the rumors of his scandals were blowing out of proportion.

The poll does nothing to hamper the image of the disgraced golfer, however, because, it is not based on infamy, but on the popularity of the celebrity bad boys. In fact, it makes a decision on how popular a celebrity remains despite a string of scandals being associated with his name. In that list, Tiger Woods comes top of the lot. It only goes on to show that scandals or no scandals, he still is one of the most popular golfers in the world, a position it would be difficult to displace him from.

In the poll, the participants were given a string of names of celebrities, all male, who are notorious for their scandals, and asked whom they would like to forgive, and in what order. Despite the fact that Tiger Woods could give tough competition to many in the line, fans readily chose to forgive and forget when it came to him. The poll was conducted from Feb 6 to Feb 10, and Tiger Woods won over public sympathy a lot more in comparison to his contenders, namely, the likes of Roman Polanski, Charlie Sheen, John Edwards, Bernie Madoff and Chris Brown.
