Tiger Woods taking indefinite leave from golf

Florida, Dec 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After a long silence, Tiger Woods did come up with a definite official statement in which he outlined his future course of action. As it had been reported earlier that his wife Elin Nordegren had asked him to choose between her or golf. And he has reportedly chosen his family over his sport, his passion, and his profession – Golf!
He spoke about his ‘infidelities’ for the very first time, and asked for forgiveness and apologized profoundly on his official website at http://web.tigerwoods.com/news/article/200912117801012/news/
Apparently he seems to have hired a damage-control team too, because he seemed very well aware of the damage caused by his numerous adulterous flings because he says, ‘It may not be possible to repair the damage I’ve done, but I want to do my best to try.’
He requests for understanding from all, so that there can be personal healing and life can get back on track for the ace golfer and his traumatized family. Unhappy at the relentless media attention, he asks for privacy from the inhuman media frenzy that has encompassed his life since Thanksgiving.
Most people including golfers are of the opinion that this is the best step that he could take, to get his life back on track and also provide some relief to his hurt wife and family.
The PGA Tour also supported his decision whole-heartedly. “His priorities are where they need to be, and we will continue to respect and honor his family’s request for privacy,” PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem said, the tour’s first public comment since Woods’ Dec. 2 “transgressions” statement.
