Mar 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It seems that troubled golfer Tiger Woods is taking his endorsement deals rather seriously these days after he was dumped by many of his leading sponsors in the wake of his sex scandal. Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has revealed that disgraced golfer has rejected an $75 million contract offered by the company.
The Irish gambling company stated on Friday that it had offered the World No.1 golfer a lucrative contract for a period of five years but Tiger Woods refused to accept the offer and invariably turned it down. However, the Dublin based firm has made it clear that it intends to continue discussion with the champion golfer and also aims to make a modified offer to Tiger Woods to gain his acceptance. In a statement that has been released by Paddy Power, it has reiterated that the gambling company is highly interested to work with the World No.1 golfer and as a result would be re-engaging in talks with his management company IMG. At the same time, the firm has also confirmed that it would be making a revised offer to Tiger Woods, intrinsic details of which are likely to remain confidential.
Although the ace golfer is known to have earned a whopping $100 million per year prior to the revelations of his multiple extramarital affair, Tiger Woods witnessed a rather difficult phase in the past few months with a number of sponsors abandoning him. However, the champion golfer issued a public apology last month for his philandering ways and is working to bring his personal as well as professional life back on track.
