Tiger Woods putts all over the holes to land in a hole in Barclays Classic

Paramus (US), Aug 28(ANI): World No.1 golfer Tiger Woods has failed to follow up on his season-best round, and faded to four shots off the lead after round two of The Barclays Classic at the Ridgewood Country Club in New Jersey.
Woods’ six-under first round of 65 had given him the lead, but he lost his momentum in the second round.
He fired four bogeys, which included missed putts of less than two feet at the fifth and six feet at the ninth, to drop him into a share of 14th after finishing with a two-over 73.
The 34-year-old however blamed his putting for the disappointing show.
“I hit the ball just as good today as I did yesterday, but I didn’t putt well at all. I didn’t have the speed at all on the greens. I was leaving it way short or blowing it by the hole,” The New York Daily News quoted Woods, as saying.
“When the greens get this bumpy, you have to hit pure putts and I wasn’t hitting the ball. I wasn’t rolling the ball good enough for them to go in,” he added.
He will start Saturday trailing 22-year-old Aussie Jason Day by four shots.
Day shot a second straight 67 for a one-shot lead over American Kevin Streelman and Vaughn Taylor.
The tournament is the first of four PGA Tour Playoffs for the FedExCup.
Woods entered the week 112th on the points list and will need a good weekend to qualify for the second event next week, the Deutsche Bank Championship. He will participate if he qualifies. (ANI)
