New York, Dec 8 (ANI): A new CNN Opinion Research poll has shown that professional golfer Tiger Woods’ popularity among his fans is fast dwindling.
Woods, 33, had a following of some 88 percent in June 2000, and 84 percent in 2001, but now only 60 percent of people view him favourably, reports the New York Post.
His unfavourable rating soared to 25 percent from 9 percent in 2001 and 5 percent in 2000.
The percentage of people who have no opinion of Woods also jumped, to 13 percent from 5 percent in both 2001 and 2000.
The poll included 1,041 adults and was conducted December 2 and 3. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus three percentage points.
The polling took place after a National Enquirer report last month revealed that Woods had an affair, which was followed a day later by his bizarre car crash in his posh Florida neighbourhood. (ANI)
