Two of his sponsors have decided to stick by him, and his wife, Elin Nordegren has apparently decided not to walk out of the marriage, if only for the sake of the children. Now, he has won the crown of the most powerful golfer, according to one of the top business magazines. The magazine has touted Tiger Woods as one of the most influential athletes, and has further noted that the list of his scandals have done nothing to take away that position from him.

The business magazine released the list of the most powerful athletes in the world on Wednesday. The list has been compiled on the basis of the incomes of the players. The business magazine has also noted that had the list been compiled after the publication of the numerous paramours of the golfer, he would still have been on the top of the list of the world’s most powerful athletes. The list had apparently been prepared before that.

Coming on top of a hundred other athletes is indeed a great achievement for Tiger Woods, and the report definitely comes as a booster in such difficult times. The magazine states that the fact that Tiger Woods had been most successful in the sport in 2009 has prompted them to put him at the head of the list. Moreover, he had also been the one to have grabbed the maximum number of endorsements, his resultant income becoming a whopping $103 million in the last year alone. In fact, it was expected that he would be the first sportsperson to earn $1 billion.
