Tiger Woods and free Cadillacs Florida, Jan 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Slowly and steadily Tiger Woods is losing endorsements one by one. The ace golfer has reportedly lost almost all of his major advertisement deals. GM is the latest corporate major to bid adieu to the ace golfer. And now comes the ultimate disgrace, because he has to return the free Cadillac’s. Tiger Woods had a deal with General Motors that the company would supply him with free Cadillac’s. This deal ended way back in 2008, but the General Motors still allowed him to keep the vehicles.

The Cadillac Escalade that he crashed in the single vehicle accident on Thanksgiving was also one of the free Cadillac’s. But after the scandal, General Motors asked him to return all the free vehicles on 31st December. A Buick spokeswoman said, “The agreement was in place before the crash.”

Besides GM, AT&T had also dropped the golf star’s endorsement deal, following in the footsteps of Gatorade, Gillette and Accenture. And then the prestigious watchmaker Tag Heur also dropped Tiger Woods from its advertisements. “We recognize Tiger Woods as a great sportsman but we have to take account of the sensitivity of some consumers in relation to recent events,” said CEO Jean-Christophe Babin.
