Florida, Apr 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Tiger Woods had announced last month that he is making a golf comeback in April, at the Augusta National. He sprang a further surprise when he turned up for the tournament early to practice some golf with his friend and mentor Mark O’Meara.

He was dressed in a striped shirt and khaki trousers, and was also wearing sunglasses. At the venue, he was also seen chatting to the British World Number six player Paul Casey and Jim Furyk, who had own the US Open in 2003. Then he started on his practice session with Mark O’Meara, accompanied by his caddie Steve Williams, swing coach Hank Haney and his numerous security guards. When his golf kit came out, for the session, then it was a big shock to see that there were no sponsors jostling for space on the kit. Instead only ‘TW’ was written there, along with his name – Tiger Woods beneath it. This is quite a surprise to see a sportsman who used to earn $100 million in just sponsorship deals, lunge around his golf kit, which had just his name on it.

Later his friend and mentor Mark O’Meara spoke to the reporters that, “He played great. He’s doing what he needs to do. He’s going to be fine. I think he’s just ready to get out there and start playing. He’s one of the toughest guys mentally I’ve ever met.”
