Tiger Woods’ Canadian doc in doping probe

New York, Dec 15 (ANI): Tiger Woods’ doctor, Tony Galea, who performed a controversial procedure on him, has come under the scanner of investigative agencies after he has been linked to illegal dugs including human growth hormone (HGH).
Galea was arrested in October and Canadian authorities searched his Toronto clinic after his assistant was detained at the U.S.-Canadian border for reportedly possessing illegal drugs like HGH.
Galea had earlier given his controversial platelet-rich plasma injection therapy to Woods.
According to spokesman of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, charges against Galea may be filed in Toronto court on Friday.
“Unequivocally, Dr. Galea denies any wrongdoing,” the New York Daily News quoted Galea’s attorney, Brian Greenspan, as saying.
Greenspan said: “It has nothing to do with the Tiger Woods matter.”
He added: “As to what the charges will be, it is hard to speculate.
“I look forward to being able to examine the nature of the allegations…. They are totally without support.” (ANI)
