San Diego, Jan 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The world number one golfer Tiger Woods is absent from the sporting arena for a couple of months, which has given his opponents the opportunity to exhibit their skills and claim some fame in golf. Yet, they are not exactly happy on any regards, as they want to play against the golf pro in the tournaments and win against him. Though everyone is waiting for the comeback of Tiger Woods, he has not made any indication to return to the golf field recently and so it is considered that this year Phil Mickelson would be favorite in the Torry Pines.

According to the reports, Tiger Woods has missed the opportunity to play in the wonderful ground of Torry Pines for two consecutive years. Reports state that last year, the golfer could not play on this ground for his injury and fans hoped to see him playing this year. However, Tiger Woods has disappointed his fans this year too and have decided not to play for his personal problems that has damaged his image.

Though Tiger Woods absence from Torry Pines is a cause of disappointment, the tournament has some other talented golfers, who are expected to attract golf lovers. Phil Mickelson, the number two golfer has made an appreciating record in this field and is expected to play well this year. As per the reports, Phil Mickelson is also a favorite among the local people and his presence in the game is expected to boost the tournament. The number two ranked golfer of the world had won thrice on this field and fans have high expectations from him this time also.
