‘There is nothing wrong with losing your temper,’ says Fergie

London, Nov.18 (ANI): Manchester United coach-cum-manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he sees nothing wrong in losing his temper with his players, and on occasion, throwing teacups to make his point.”There is nothing wrong with losing your temper if it’s for the right reasons. My reasons were always about not reaching a certain standard. Then I would let them know,” the Sun quoted Ferguson, as saying.”I never leave it until the next day. I don’t believe in that. Some managers wait until Monday when things are calmer, but I want to let it go after the game because I am already planning for the next game,” he added. He further said: “Once I let it go, it’s finished and I don’t bring it up again. It still applies. I don’t wait until tomorrow. But I’ve mellowed a great deal. Some of the staff say to players now, ‘You’re lucky compared with 20 years ago’.
“But I’m dealing with more fragile human beings than I used to be. They are cocooned by modern parents, agents, even their own image at times. They need to be seen with their tattoos and earrings. It’s a different world for me so I have had to adapt,” Fergie said. (ANI)
