‘The Undertaker’ Returns To Friday Night Smackdown, “There Will Be Vengeance”

August 28th, 2010 - 2:54 pm ICT by Angela Kaye Mason

Aug 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The night started off with a match between ‘Kane’ and ‘Rey Mysterio’. Kane seemed to be tossing Rey around like a sack of potatoes, and the size difference made it seem impossible for Rey to come back. After Cane grabbed a steel chair, Rey managed to kick the chair into Kane’s face. Rey eventually got the chair and hit Kane in the leg in this “No Disqualification” match.

Rey managed to pull off his move, the “619”, but Kane finally took him down for a three count with a “Choke-slam” onto the steel chair. Rey had to be helped away from the ring, and seemed to have a serious injury to his left arm. Alberto Del Rio came out to the ring and beat Rey down even more, attacking the arm, before the next wrestlers came out for their match. Afterward, a match between ‘JTG’ and ‘CM Punk’, was won by CM Punk, when he made JTG tap out.

A while later, ‘Vickie Guerrero’ escorted her newest “boy-toy”, ‘Dolf Zigler’ out to the ring for his match with ‘Kofi Kingston’. It seemed as though Kofi had won the match when he managed to get a three count on Dolf, yet as soon as the count was almost over, the referee noticed that Dolf was holding the rope.

As Dolf had the referee distracted, Vickie slapped Kofi, which would have caused Dolf to be disqualified if the referee had noticed. The referee didn’t see it, but Dolf did, and he yelled at Vickie and told her not to do it again.

After many, many two counts for both athletes, they were both out of the ring for a count of ‘8’. Vickie kept Dolf out of the ring long enough for the referee to get to ‘10’ which caused Dolf to be disqualified, but, since a title cannot change hands on a disqualification, Dolf kept his title, much to Vickie’s delight.

Footage was shown of Kane, explaining to his brother, ‘The Undertaker’, a story of bitter rivalry in which Kane has spent many years plotting to destroy his own older brother. In the storyline for ‘Smackdown’, Kane supposedly put his brother in a vegetative state over the Memorial Day Weekend, in an effort to “take over”, and has just recently admitted to it. (Undertaker actually suffered a shattered orbital bone, a concussion and a broken nose in a match with Rey Mysterio). The Undertaker has promised to be on the show tonight for his revenge, to which Kane responded, “Well there is going to be hell on earth!”

But before the main event of the night, ‘Jack Swagger’ still had to face ‘MVP’. Fighting in his own element, Swagger seemed to have the upper hand, but MVP punched Swagger in the head, and was disqualified. ‘Alberto Del Rio’ was then matched against ‘Carlos Sanchez’, and quickly took Sanchez down. So far, Del Rio has never been beaten.

‘The Big Show’ came to the ring accompanied by ‘Kelly Kelly’ to wrestle against ‘Luke Gallows’. The huge giant, Big Show tossed the over 300 pound Gallows around like he weighed nothing as Kelly Kelly and ‘Serena’ fought on the sidelines. Luke Gallows and Serena are both part of CM Punk’s “Straight Edge Society”. The Big Show knocked Gallows out with a right handed punch to win the match.

‘The Undertaker’ came out in all his former glory, to stand in the middle of the ring wearing black from head to toes with his black leather trench coat, boots, and Amish style hat. He picked up the mic and announced that although he may look dead, he is not dead, but he is still ‘The Dead Man’. He also stated that he has never pardoned the guilty, and that stands for his own brother, Kane, as well.

Kane, he explained, is guilty of lies, and betrayal. “And perhaps the biggest lie of all is that he thinks he can carry my Holy Grail, my Championship.” At this point, Kane came out with an evil laugh. “The only one spinning a web of lies is you, big brother. I hear the weakness in your voice and hear it in your eyes…”

“Have you taken a look at yourself lately, you are no longer “The Phenom”. Kane told Taker, and said that he will have no problem crushing ‘The Undertaker’. Kane added, “I am now the dominant brother, and I have nothing left to prove.”

“Taker” reminded Kane that Kane had called himself “The devil’s favorite demon.” “Did you forget, little brother that the house the devil lives in was built by me, brick by brick, and when I call him, he calls me “Sir.” Taker went on to tell Kane that he taught him everything Kane knows about evil, but he didn’t teach Kane everything he (Taker) knows.

But Kane interrupted Taker, told him that their upcoming battle will end with Taker at Kane’s feet, and vowed on the grave of their mother that Taker would never rest in peace. Rumor has it that ‘The Undertaker’ is soon to retire, and who else but Kane, his supposed “brother” to be the one to take him down? The fans will have to wait and see.
