The New York Knicks are glad to leave the haunted Skirvin Hotel
January 13th, 2010 - 1:37 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattOklahoma City, Jan 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The New York Knicks suffered one of their major losses in the field and they are contributing it all, to the haunted hotel - Skirvin Hotel where they stayed. For over 2 days numerous players had a hard time at the hotel because they could hardly sleep.
“I definitely believe it,” Jared Jeffries said. “The place is haunted. It’s scary.” Eddy Curry says that he slept for only two hours on Sunday night because he couldn’t stop thinking about ghosts roaming the hotel. And apparently the lack of sleep played havoc when they were on the field playing in the game. So they all are attributing their loss in the game to the haunted hotel.
The story behind the haunted hotel is that one employee of the hotel had an affair with a maid. When she became pregnant then she was locked up in a room in the hotel, so that word about the unwanted pregnancy doesn’t get out of the hotel. Then it is said that the woman became crazy and she gave birth in that room and then jumped out from the window and died.
Since then the guests staying at the Skirvin Hilton have reported ghost sightings and strange noises. “They said it happened on the 10th floor and I’m the only one staying on the 10th floor,” Curry said. “That’s why I spent most of my time in (Nate Robinson’s) room. I definitely believe there are ghosts in that hotel.”
