New York, Oct 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Winless 49ers were beaten by the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles survived last minute comeback by the 49ers to win the match 27-24 on Sunday night.
After the game, the Eagles receiver, DeSean Jackson said the Eagles just played their game during the match. He said they stuck to their game plan and did what they had to do.
Kelvin Kolb threw for 253 yards and a touchdown during the match and DeSean was full of praise for him after the match. He said of Kolb, he “…came in and did a great job in place of Vick.” DeSean admitted that he was scared with the late comeback of the 49ers saying “That finish scared me a little bit, but I’m glad the troops stayed together”.
Kolb made his fourth career start last night and finished 21 of 31 and threw an 8-yard scoring pass.
The match was part of some thirteen matches that were played throughout America in the 5th week of the current NFL season.
