lakerLos Angeles, May 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Lakers vs Suns game on Thursday was one of the most crucial games in the series. Especially after the Suns winning two games in the desert and tying the series at two a piece. For fans it promised to be a very interesting game because the Lakers were most certain to come out strong after two consecutive losses.

The anticipation of the fans turned out to be correct after the Lakers came back too strong for the Suns finishing neck-to-neck at 103-101. Ron Artest was the man of the moment literally after scoring off a wild throw that bounced back from Kobe Bryant. He became an unlikely hero in the match that Kobe Bryant dominated. Kobe Bryant scored 30 points overall in the game with 11 rebounds and 9 assists. The penultimate basket from Ron Artest was only his second of the game. The Lakers now lead the series 3-2 and it is obvious that they are under incredible pressure now.

In the game the Lakers showed better patience than the last two games with the Suns’ zone defense and got more penetration from Derek Fisher. The Suns scored 2 points in the 1st half and bettered themselves with 29 in the 2nd. Another significant difference between the two teams was the Lakers’ cashing in on 16 second chance points and the Phoenix Suns getting none. This was Phoenix coach Alvin Gentry’s sentiments when he said that such a game highlights the difference between really good teams and championship teams. The game was crucial for both the sides and a close finish made it even more painful for the losing side.
