‘The Great Khali’ to visit Haryana town Wednesday
November 11th, 2009 - 1:00 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Karnal, Nov 10 (IANS) World-renowned wrestler and winner of World Wrestling Federation (WWF) championship Dalip Singh Rana, better known as “The Great Khali” will visit this Haryana town Wednesday, officials said Tuesday.
Khali will be the chief guest at Vaccher stadium in Madhuban, Karnal, where 41st state level Haryana police games are going on.
Haryana’s Director General of Police Ranjiv Dalal and other senior police officers would be present in the stadium to welcome this over seven feet man, who is presently the only Indian pursuing this particular style of wrestling.
“Around 800 sportsmen and women of Haryana police are taking part in various disciplines like athletics, basketball, boxing, football, gymnastics, hockey, handball, judo, shooting, swimming, volleyball, wrestling and weight-lifting in these games,” a police spokesman said.
