May 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) If latest reports are to be believed then Terrence Jones has signed a financial aid agreement with Kentucky on Wednesday. Although the reports of the 6-foot-9 forward player picking up Kentucky has not been validated by representatives of the player as yet, it has been reported that Terrence Jones has chosen Kentucky to play basketball for the next season.
The reports of the forward player opting for Kentucky has come as a rather startling revelation for many, more so as Terrence Jones had committed to Washington in the month of April although the affiliation was done only verbally. However, it cannot be said for sure that Terrence Jones would end up joining Kentucky as he has reportedly signed a financial aid agreement with the team on Wednesday which does not necessarily bind him to the team. Many insiders feel that if this actually happens, it would hardly come as a surprise given the fact that on April 30, the player picked Washington Huskies in a press conference which did not take into account signing anything which left him open to reconsider other recruitment options.
While talking about the forward player’s decision to pick Kentucky, Terrence Jones high school coach Pat Strickland described glitz and glamor as the to main reasons which might have propelled the player to take the decision to opt for Kentucky. He further revealed that the Kentucky program, the history associated with it as well as the freshman’s stunning performance past year also might have influenced Terrence Jones’ decision to pick Kentucky.
