New York, May 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Terrelle Pryor is the subject of investigation by the NCAA for taking discounts on cars which were considered inappropriate. The Ohio State University quarterback is currently facing a five match ban for allegedly receiving inappropriate gifts in a separate incident.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, Pryor is being investigated for receiving benefits stemming from his car use. According to the report, Pryor has been stopped on about three occasions while driving cars which were later found not to belong to him. The cars were found to belong to one Aaron Kniffin who is a car dealer or his company Columbus. The Ohio University declined to make any comment on the investigation.

A spokesperson of the university said that, “The university continues to work with the NCAA…We are unable to comment on specific players’ situations because of federal law.”

In the report, the Dispatch said Kniffin admitted giving the cars to Pryor but insisted that he only gave the car to the quarterback so that he could show it to his mother.

The NCAA punished five players of Ohio for inappropriately receiving gifts at the beginning of the season. Their sentences have however been suspended. The university’s coach Jim Tressel resigned on Monday in connection with the allegations.
