Tension in Haryana village over death of Dalit youth
October 7th, 2010 - 9:50 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Oct 7 (IANS) Tension prevailed in a village near Bhiwani town in Haryana Thursday after villagers found the burnt body of a Dalit youth.
Haryana police officials said the body of the youth, Sanjay, who used to work in a roadside eatery (dhaba) was found near Digawa village near Bhiwani, 300 km from here.
Villagers told the police they suspected that someone had thrown the youth into a clay oven (tandoor) Wednesday night to kill him.
A team of doctors has been constituted by the district authorities to conduct a post mortem on the body to know the cause of death.
