Tendulkar crosses 15,000 Test runs

New Delhi, Nov 8 (IANS) Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar reached another monumental milestone Tuesday, becoming the first cricketer to cross 15,000 Test runs.
Tendulkar reached the figure during India’s second innings against West Indies here Tuesday.
He got to the mark when he pushed leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo for a single to move from 27 to 28 and raised his bat to appreciate the cheers from the Kotla crowd.
Tendulkar, who is also on the verge of 100 international centuries, achieved the feat in his 182nd match. The 38-year-old is the world’s most prolific batsman in Tests and ODIs.
He has 51 Test centuries and 48 ODI hundreds.
